Thank you Volunteers!
April 16-22 is National Volunteer Week – this week (and all other weeks!), we celebrate the wonderful volunteers of the BC Brain Wellness Program and beyond. This year’s theme is “Volunteering Weaves Us Together”, signifying the importance of volunteering to enrich our communities, support one another, and create interconnected actions.
Here at the BC Brain Wellness Program, volunteers are at the heart of all we do – the empathy, compassion, generosity and tenacity of our volunteer cohort is incredibly invaluable. From keeping participants safe during exercise programs and assisting with online program delivery, to supporting major projects and events, our volunteers’ contributions culminate in building the caring and compassionate community that we all know and love today. The collective actions by the volunteers provide essential support to our programs, instructors, and participants, creating so much impact and fostering connections between individuals, building into a community.
Volunteering is not only appreciated by those who receive the act of kindness. There are many positive impacts experienced by the volunteers themselves!
