Research Seminar Series: Decisions on Driving with Multiple Sclerosis and Parkinson’s Disease

Join the Research Seminar Series on January 19th to learn about current research on decisions around driving with a neurological condition and strategies for maintaining independence in transportation. 

Speakers

Nicole Carlson

Nicole is a second year occupational therapy student at the University of British Columbia. She completed her undergraduate degree in Community Rehabilitation and Disability Studies at the University of Calgary. Nicole has worked in a variety of settings, including inpatient rehabilitation and private practice, supporting people with neurological conditions to participate in valuable and meaningful activities. She looks forward to seeing how the development of a driving retirement workbook can better support people with neurological conditions in their decisions around driving. 

Alexandra Swan

Alexandra is a second year occupational therapy student at the University of British Columbia. She is passionate about helping people navigate the challenging aspects of their life and supporting them in reaching their goals. After obtaining her undergraduate degree from UBC she spent time working with neurodiverse youth in the interior before moving back to Vancouver to pursue occupational therapy. She is excited to be developing a workbook that can help support people through the journey of retiring from driving.
