Gemma Tomasky

Gemma Tomasky is a registered Physiotherapist who has been teaching exercise classes and assisting BC Brain Wellness with research over the years. She graduated with a Master of Physical Therapy and an Undergraduate Degree in Kinesiology from the University of British Columbia.

Gemma has a diverse experience working both at a public hospital and a private physiotherapy clinic called Forge Health in Burnaby. She empowers participants through education and movement to feel the benefits of regular exercise and balance practice. Acknowledging that everyone moves differently, she provides options of exercises so everyone feels successful in class. She shares smiles and words of encouragement throughout class.

Gemma is a second-generation settler with Eastern European heritage who grew up on the traditional, ancestral, and unceded territories of Coast Salish peoples, including the Sḵwx̱wú7mesh Úxwumixw (Squamish), Stó:lō and Səl̓ílwətaʔ/Selilwitulh (Tsleil-Waututh), and xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam) lands."
