Jennifer

Instructor - Music

Jennifer began her cello studies at the age of seven with Judith Fraser at the Vancouver Academy of Music. In 2012, she joined the Vancouver Youth Symphony Orchestra, making her debut as the concerto competition winner in 2014. She has since gained extensive experience as principal cellist and performed at numerous summer festivals across Canada and the U.S. During her undergraduate years, she was a member of the UBC Symphony Orchestra, part of an award-winning piano trio, and performed at weddings and corporate events.

As a former volunteer and program assistant with the BC Brain Wellness Program, Jennifer is thrilled to return and celebrate the program’s 5th anniversary. Having seen firsthand the positive impact of music and wellness initiatives on brain health, she is excited to be part of this milestone event. Now a first-year medical student at UBC, Jennifer looks forward to continuing her journey at the intersection of music and medicine, exploring how the arts can promote brain health and contribute to advancing geriatric research.
