I was born and raised in Winnipeg, graduated from the University of Winnipeg with a major in Psychology and trained as a preschool teacher. While in Winnipeg I worked running developmental groups for children and teens, as well as teaching preschool. Moved to BC in the mid 70s and first worked with people with disabilities.  I travelled in the mid 80s, spending a year in South East Asia. When I returned, I worked in the gaming industry, in many capacities including, training, program development and as a table games manager. I have been married for 35 years with 1 adult son. After retiring I began doing art and writing. Other hobbies include bridge, poker, sports, music and travel.
