About the Instructor

Vanessa Barron has had a lifelong interest and career in health and wellness. As a physiotherapist she helped people improve their health and manage their conditions. That led to a desire to have a positive impact on the health care system more broadly. She achieved this by moving into administrative roles to lead provincial projects and changes across the health sector. Now she is focused on teaching and consulting, bringing her knowledge and skills together in new ways. Her commitment to the practice of yoga began in 2010 and she completed her teacher certification in 2020. Yoga and meditation became an important part of her own recovery from an accident and she brings this personal experience, compassion, and professional skills to teaching. She is passionate about yoga for strengthening the mind-body-heart connection and supporting people to attain their health goals.
