Mental health includes our emotions, thoughts and feelings, being able to manage life’s highs and lows, and feelings of connectedness. Everyone has mental health and everyone will experience challenges regarding their mental well-being at some point within their lifespan. This is why it’s important to have strategies and tools which we use to improve our mental well-being! Physical Activity improves both physical and mental well-being. As well, regular physical activity decreases the likelihood of developing a mental illness, helps with symptom management, and reduces stress. In this seminar you will learn about the many mental (and physical) health benefits of exercise. As well, you will leave equipped with some strategies to implement into your everyday lives to improve your mental and physical well being.
